To understand the idea of independent thinking (sans influence) is just as difficult as to recognize propaganda. Where the first has deteriorated from being self developed ideology to fashion fad, propaganda has transformed from being a crude dictatorial device to strategic and smooth operation (with wide spread applications). From being ‘manipulated truth’ to ‘partial truth’ to ‘plain information’, propaganda, with diverse intensities of meaning across borders, has managed to become a subtle impression as opposed to an imposed war weapon. Probably funny, but with the end of the world war(s), propaganda has determined new ways of winning in its own developed battlefields. Simply put, the word means – planned strategy to influence opinions on a large scale. Today its idea is crucial in media, journalism, politics and capitalism.
